Tonight: The Stoop Storytelling Series presents That ’80s Show

I was born in 1980, which makes me a super official ‘80s baby and as such, I’d like to give you a list of the things I usually watch on TV these days: reruns of “The Golden Girls,” reruns of “227,” reruns of “Mama’s Family,” and reruns of “A Different World.” Nostalgia, I’m learning, is comforting even when real life is not (plus “The Golden Girls” tackled subjects like immigration, sexual harassment, and mental illness—everything old is new again). That may be part of the reason why the people behind The Stoop Storytelling Series are putting on an event this week focused on all things ’80s, promising tales of “excess, fear, big hair, and the Bomb.” Storytellers include Robin Yasinow, Gillian Stewart Quinn, Steve Parke, Naomi Cross, Bill Henry, and Louis Hughes Jr. There’s no rule that you should pull out your best neon-colored off-the-shoulder-top, or sport a banana clip hair thingy, but of course you should. And The Beat is a sponsor, so we’ll be there handing out papers and waving hello. Feb. 22, cocktails and live music at 7 p.m., show at 8 p.m., The Senator Theatre, 5904 York Road,, $20. 8. In my opinion that a property foreclosures can have a significant effect on the client’s life. Property foreclosures can have a Seven to ten years negative effects on a borrower’s credit report. Any borrower who has applied for a mortgage or any kind of loans as an example, knows that the worse credit rating is actually, the more difficult it is for any decent bank loan. In addition, it could possibly affect a borrower’s chance to find a decent place to let or rent, if that will become the alternative houses solution. Thanks for your blog post.

  12. Based on my research, after a foreclosed home is bought at a bidding, it is common for the borrower to be able to still have some sort ofthat remaining balance on the mortgage. There are many loan companies who attempt to have all expenses and liens cleared by the upcoming buyer. Even so, depending on particular programs, legislation, and state laws and regulations there may be many loans which aren’t easily handled through the exchange of financial products. Therefore, the obligation still lies on the debtor that has had his or her property in foreclosure. Thanks for sharing your notions on this weblog.

  13. Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog.
