February started off with a fantastic two-band lineup at Creative Alliance featuring Micah E. Wood and Landis Harry Larry. Micah E. Wood is a multi-talented artist and musician, who performed with a backing band that included Joseph of Glorian and saxophone player Daoure Diongue. They played several songs from his recent album “You, Me, the Reign.” Landis Harry Larry — Landis Expandis as the front man/singer and creator of the band along withHarry and Larry — had the whole audience dancing to their funky and exciting music.
Later in the month was the yearly alt drag show SPIT!, created by Hazel the Brat, an award-winning drag performer who has been in the scene for almost a decade. The show brought together several of the most outrageous, talented and creative drag personalities in the area, all of whom designed their own performances, costumes and props.
