Baltimore showed up and out in crisp tuxedos and floor-length gowns for a very classy performance from Jeezy the Snowman at the Lyric Baltimore on August 1.
He told Baltimore that they were one of the best looking crowds he’s seen so far. “Turn the lights on,” he said. “Let me see you a little bit.”
The Lyric Baltimore partnered with Baltimore nonprofit Sharp Dressed Man for the event, to give away free suits to anyone who needs them. The organization helps men look their best for job interviews or other big events.
The city’s go-to DJ and radio personality, Quicksilva, warmed up the crowd with a lineup of 80s and 90s R&B favorites and Baltimore club classics. There was also a surprise proposal.
Jeezy’s TM:101 tour features a live orchestra and includes stops in Miami, Chicago, and Atlanta. He ran into travel issues trying to get from Atlanta to Baltimore and ended up taking a 10-hour Uber ride to get here. He brought his driver, Tanner, onstage during the concert and posted about the ordeal on his Instagram account.
“I can’t make this shit up,” he told the crowd. (Lisa Snowden)
