A city I once resented
became the pinnacle of my truest desire.

In my years of uncertainty,
travesty,
and blur—
you, my Baltimore, saved the day.

Over these past weeks,
I’ve built communion in creative sanctuaries
with gifted souls who embraced me
like a long-lost cousin.

Where had I been this whole time?
Daydreaming in my window,
surrounded by unwanted energy,
toxicity,
and people-pleasing.

I had done it all—
everything but enjoy you,
my beauty.

Now I’m a reborn visitor,
and I’m taking in everything I can.
I’ll never take you for granted again.

I can’t promise forever—
the world still calls to me.
It awaits my presence,
my energy,
my love.

But you, Baltimore—
you will always live
in the heart of my hearts.
