
The 18th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade almost didn’t happen this year—it was for a moment there, cancelled by Mayor Catherine Pugh who proposed solely a “Day of Service” instead. But the community reached out, a petition began, and it resulted in another year of one of the most joyful and multitude-containing events in the city.
